We're a non-profit art gallery for female and trans artists, with an online store in need of web maintenance. Updates to the store with images and descriptions, updating stock info, as well as artist blurbs, writing about local gallery news, updating the events calendar, updating with new exhibits and maintaining the site in general. Handle online transactions and communicate with online customers, the Visual Arts Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Executive Director, Online Marketer, and attend volunteer meetings. This is a great opportunity for a designer to show off web skills, make valuable contacts and have fun while helping a cutting edge arts organization with e-commerce. Seeking one or two volunteers depending on how much time each can devote. Knowledge of Joomla, VirtueMart, JCalPro, PayPal, Blogger, Photoshop, Excel, and/or similar programs. Ability to troubleshoot and repair technical problems independently, using php and html. Graphic design skills and visual creativity encouraged. Copywriting and blogging skills, even better.
