> DESCRIPTION
Pesce Khete uses childlike or fairy tale elements in his compositions to paint portraits and describe human relationships. By assembling paper using masking tape, he creates a syntax which bridges the gap between writing and painting. The unusual shapes of his compositions, resulting from his technique on paper also help to convey emotions with power and spontaneity.
n his work using text on paper,
John Phillip Abbott describes his daily life; each composition represents a chapter of his personal dairy. Skye Boutin was a third grade crush. Like many other significant events, the memory of it is translated on paper using letters which are used to narrate or to provide a visual vocabulary.
