Barry Grose, White Flowers, 2011, acrylic on canvas, 48 x 48 in.
"Ethereal," "...elegantly haunting...", and "...saturated with emotion and color..." are but a few of the descriptions critics have penned to define the work of Barry Grose (pronounced "GRŌ-Z"). From landscapes, flowers, semi-abstracts, and portraits, his work bridges the spectrum of human emotion and senses, and their often ambiguous sum total. Originally from New York, the painter, photographer and writer Barry Grose holds a Master's degree from the University of Chicago and also studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He travels extensively to promote his work and spends the majority of his creative studio time in his atelier in New York.
