Placeholder70x70-2 May her Soul Rest In Peace
Parting away of friends and loved ones is always very depressing, but when it comes to the bereavement of people who brought joy to this world – the loss rises to a whole new level. The art and collection of Georgia will be celebrated by many generations to come. May her Soul Rest In Peace. Amen. DbaiG
Placeholder70x70-2 My friend of 54 years
I am so sad about losing Georgia from this world. We go back so far to second grade. I have lost a close and dear friend. Her kindness and laughter will be missed. Such a wonderful person and such a special friend of mine. I just wish I was able to spend more time with her. I am so impressed with her accomplishments with not only her own fine art, but her Artslant creation. She was one very intelligent lady with a big heart. She inspires me to continue my art in my life. I will miss her.
As a writer for Artslant my brief contact with Georgia via email gave me a great respect for her professionalism and revealed the charm of her personality. She was always pleasant, responsive and understanding whatever the situation. It made me very sad to know that I will hear from her no more.

You referred to me as one of your special friends when I thanked you for your platform and when I became winners in your contests. You supported me, gave me direction and solved my issues when I could not navigate my way through the early software applications of your web site. I due hope I will meet your spirit to enjoy its love of art and humanity ! Love and Light......

I'll be writing my own remembrance for ArtSlant, but right now I just want to say thanks to this woman who created countless chances and opportunities for new writers, artists, and galleries to all communicate their art and their ideas.
Placeholder70x70-2 this is what i wrote on my facebook page...
A wonderful person. I met her a couple years ago when she came by my studio to interview me for Artslant. We hit it off immediately. So kind and funny and empathetic. and we both knew without saying it, that we had a common bond.. a shared experience and i felt understood. from darkness to light and to embracing life in the moment. you could see all of her zest for life in the sparkle of her eyes. She made me feel connected and i admired her for ability to give back to the world so lovingly. rest in peace.
Que tristeza! Georgia era una mujer extraordinaria. Una creadora gigante. La extrañaremos mucho.

I am grateful to have known Georgia, she was truly wonderful. My deepest condolences to all those who have felt her loss. Georgia, I will really miss you...thank you so much for everything!
I am very sad to hear this news. I remember when artslant was brand new, and Georgia personally set up the accounts. She was so friendly and warm. Her support and respect for artists and emerging galleries is a truly commendable one that will continue to impress and inspire. I am so thankful for what she created for us.
This is so sad. I am new to the artslant community, but this woman appears to be a great force in art and the art world. She will be deeply missed.
Georgia bought me a caesar salad once at Cafe Beaubourg and then we walked through Gabriel Orozco's show at the Pompidou. A wonderful person, and a true conduit of the arts.
We had so many lovely times together. I'm truly blessed to have spent so much time with Georgia. She changed my life in so many ways; I'm heartsick that she's gone, but the way I'll always remember her is: the many times we shared coffee in a cafe in Paris, talking about all the art we'd seen that afternoon. Thank you to everyone who has commented and all those who will post comments. Georgia touched so many lives and will be missed.
