Mark Posey

My current art is driven by a desire to most accurately represent an unfiltered sense of self. My paintings are therefore more about me than the subject being painted.  Through my art I strive to make a genuine connection with the viewer. I do this by never second-guessing myself, which leads to an honest painting that people can connect with. My art is spontaneous, full of intuitive energy and thick layers of fluid paint. It is the randomness and an embrace of the unforeseen that makes my work appealing and representative of life itself.
