Description
This Corvette Hood inspired me to think about the connection of the astronaughts with the Corvette. That led me to contemplate the idea of explorations, speed and travel. This comes to a head with America's love affair with cars, speed and motion. The earliest mention of Corvette was that of a small fleet ship used to protect the rest of the larger slower moving flotillas. Some say that is where the Corvette got its name.
Painting with airbrush on a 3D surface such as this hood adds another demension to the art. I love that the clear coat begs you to touch the piece. The reflective quality reflects whatever and whoever is around it.
