Corridor Gallery, the Brooklyn extension of Rush Arts Gallery, exhibits the work of artists primary living and working locally and offers 1,200 square feet of exhibition space. The gallery exhibits the work of a diverse group, focusing on early- and mid- career artists. Corridor Gallery offers opportunities to artists working in a broad range of media and welcomes guest curators. The gallery also serves the local community by hosting special events aimed at initiating a dialogue on matters relating to contemporary art. In addition to hosting exhibitions, Corridor Gallery is used by various community groups for meetings and events. Both galleries support emerging artists by awarding participating artists a modest honorarium and each exhibition is accompanied by full-color printed material, including an essay by a guest writer and representative images.
