The studio artists at BAT include painters, sculptors, photographers, and experimental mixed media artists. In partnership with the NYCEDC, chashama has provided subsidized workspaces at the Brooklyn Army Terminal for over 300 artists since 2007. In addition to Open Studios, chashama offers the studio artists monthly curator visits, an online registry, professional development workshops, and access to Materials for the Arts. Studios range in size from under 200 square feet to over 400 square feet, and are rented to participating artists at $1.07 per square foot.

chashama's Workspace Program gives visual and performing artists access to studio and rehearsal space, supporting artists in all aspects of their creative and professional development. With 126 artists, the Workspace Program is one of the largest studio residency programs in New York City.
