Recent Works

Miljan Suknovic has recently produced a group of paintings that functions in parallel to his encounter with American culture, technology and his continuing exploration of creative abstraction. Each gesture reflects the dynamic complexity of hypertext and digital challenge; however Suknovic makes all his paintings by his own hand and design, with no digital enhancements. His non-rational flow chart is produced without coded reference to any pace or time. The color palette of fluorescent or metallic, lavenders, purples, greens, reds, and coral colors of imagined infrastructure accentuates an intuitive experience. The complexity of the paintings is the result of his own internal system that is continually being supplemented and adjusted. Each work is developed slowly in multiple permutations before the final formula is achieved.
