DESCRIPTION

gallery nine5 is a vital space for international and local artists to exhibit their work in the epicenter of the art world. With a focus on global contemporary art, the gallery stages solo exhibitions and group shows consisting of works in all media including painting, photography, sculpture, digital media, collage, and installation. gallery nine5’s mission is to give individuals, collectors and institutions the opportunity to enjoy and acquire unique artworks of unsurpassed quality.

Located in Nolita, gallery nine5 is steps away from SoHo and the Lower East Side—Manhattan’s fastest growing and most vibrant art community. Representing a distinguished array of international artists, from emerging talents to art-world luminaries, the gallery has established itself as a home for innovative art of the highest caliber.

Sebastien Le Pelletier, the Founder and Director of gallery nine5, has over thirteen years of art-world experience spanning three continents. Born and raised in Paris, Le Pelletier worked extensively in Modern and Contemporary art galleries in Europe and Asia prior to relocating to New York in 2000 to launch the third branch of a Paris- based gallery. In 2003, after several years of establishing strong relationships with artists, collectors and connoisseurs, Le Pelletier began working as an independent dealer and curator. The business grew rapidly and it soon became evident that a larger location would be needed. In 2008, gallery nine5 opened on Spring Street in New York.

The gallery’s continuing success has led to a greater participation in secondary market dealing and more extensive fine art consulting for its clients. We are able to offer privileged access to distinguished collections and masterpieces by Modern, Post-War and Contemporary greats such as Picasso, Miró, Lichtenstein, Warhol and Basquiat.
