Rachel Davis Custom Art Services offers affordable museum-style wood frames using archival materials for works on paper, photographs, and works on panel and stretched canvas.
Rachel Davis Custom Art Services began in the San Francisco Bay Area, with my need as an exhibiting artist for affordable, high quality frames. In 2006 the business relocated to Portland, Oregon.
I have a BFA in printmaking from the University of Michigan. My works on paper (and hence my frames) are in the collections of The Packard Foundation, The US Embassy in Tunisia, and The Banana Republic, among others.
Many of Custom Art Services’ clients are artists as well, and that base has grown to include galleries, collectors, and consultants of contemporary art. It also includes many clients who are exploring framing for the first time. With each client, the idea is to arrive at a design solution collaboratively. The end product will then reflect a sensitivity to the art, and to the environment it will ultimately be displayed in.
Custom Art Services is dedicated to designing quality framing to meet each client’s needs. Preservation of art through framing is the ultimate goal, and I strive to balance that with any other requirement or budget a job may have.
I am part of a talented community with expertise in woodworking, art conservation, shipping, crating, and installation.
Let me help you with your next project.
