Central city Hospitality House community art studio

FREE studio space and art supplies for any (impoverished or otherwise) artist "of" the Tenderloin (that just means you have to be there folks). The Community Art Studio is located on Market Street at 6th Street on the ground floor of "The Luggage Store" (which is actually a famous old gallery we've had here in town forever and a day). Hospitality House is the oldest provider of shelter for the homeless in San Francisco, dating all the way back to the Summer of Love when folks realized, hey, we need a place for these kids to go, and a secondary calling said: yeah, and something for them to do, thereby conceiving what is now a well-funded, overflowingly attended community arts program where any one can go to make art, and even show it and sell it as they provide several venues for participants to exhibit, including an onsite storefront gallery (very swank!) and an annual benfit art auction that for the last few years has brought in over $78,000 and more each year consecutively since 2005. wow. check out www.hgospitalityhouse.org
