Lee Jofa Fabric: Pattern Makes Perfect 

Patterns are in and they are in big.  Typically the bolder the better and go big or go home has never been a truer statement.  Everyone is looking to dazzle their guests with bright colors and bold patterns in their home and Lee Jofa Fabrics is at the forefront of that trend. 

If you’re slightly skeptical about going so bold with pattern – we’ve got a great suggestion for you.  Sometimes we fall in love with fabric that we’re just not 100% sure about using to upholster everything in the house, so why not buy just a small amount of each fabric and get creative in small ways. 

One creative way to incorporate a small amount of prints into a room is by framing those small bits of beautiful fabric from Lee Jofa Fabrics.  Hours of time and creativity goes into designing each print that ultimately appears on the fabric, so they are actual pieces of artwork.  Find fun neutral frames that will compliment the patterns and colors and hang them above your desk in the office, dressing room or even living room.  Because they are framed separately, you can easily mix and match colors and patterns – they don’t need to all match one another.

The next step to incorporating color and pattern without going overboard is by upholstering small pieces of furniture.  While that can still seem slightly scary, it’s actually really fun.  If you’re feeling daring, you can easily upholster a seat cover yourself or find a local and reputable furniture upholster that can do it for you.  A side or dining room chair is a good place to start because the new Lee Jofa fabric will be noticeable without completely changing the look of the room. 

Finally, try upholstering the sofa or side chair in the living room.  That’s where you’re going to see a huge difference and wonder why you hadn’t done it sooner.  If you’re doing the side chair(s), leave the sofa a neutral color and pattern to avoid being too busy (if you’re new to this, after all).  Cover a few pillows in the same fabric as the side chair and toss those on the sofa to create continuity in the room.  Do the opposite if you want to upholster the sofa in a bold pattern.  Keep the side chairs relatively neutral and put the throw pillows on them.
