> DESCRIPTION

Shallow Graves offers an escape from a media inundated society and repurposes the technology that drives this frenzy to render heterotopic visions for the future. Heritage is portrayed as the amalgamation of the real and the imagined and lost or forgotten stories resurface as the blueprint upon which collective curiosity can imagine parallel existences. In drawing from the ephemera of a shared past, Shallow Graves bridges the historical record with contemporary fabrications and technology and poises us to examine the commodification of tribute in the construction of modern and future monuments.
