> DESCRIPTION

Hope Lives at The Educational Alliance - Ernest Rubenstein Gallery features artwork by artists who are long time residents of the Lower East Side. These artists have weathered the economic and social changes of the neighborhood. They have chosen to stay in this culturally and historically rich neighborhood while others have moved on to more popular “art neighborhoods” like Soho and Williamsburg. In conjunction with the exhibit, there will be special events including gallery talks and a special visit to the artists’ studios.  The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public. http://www.edalliance.org/artschool

This exhibit is made possible, in part, with funds from New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
