X Initiative

Now in its 12th year, the Editions and Artist’s Book Fair has grown in size and stature to become the premier showcase for contemporary publishers and dealers presenting prints, multiples, and artists’ books. Founded in 1998 by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions and Brooke Alexander, the fair will take place at X Initiative, the non profit organization now occupying the former Dia space in Chelsea, from November 6-8, 2009. The venue will generously accommodate over fifty exhibitors and works by artists from cities including New York, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, London, and Paris.

The E/AB Opening Night Preview takes place on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 6 to 9pm. Proceeds will support P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center’s Annual Exhibition Fund. The evening’s festivities will feature a special DJ set by Sahra Motalebi and music by AJ Slim.

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased online at www.ps1.org through Ticketweb, in person at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center and agnes b. locations throughout NYC, and at the door the night of the event. Each ticket is tax deductible in the amount of $30.
