"FUNhouse" is a group exhibition featuring the work of Nova Gutierrez, Jess Ramsay, and Brewster
Smith. The show features print work, installation, and sound. "FUNhouse" seeks to explore the dualities
of innocence and corruption, childhood and adulthood, peace and violence, old and new, through the
use of commercial and personal imagery. The exhibition is a visual and aural feast of new work by the
emerging New York artists.

Nova Gutierrez is a Chicana feminist artist whose work explores issues of identity and community in the
context of the lived experience of women of color.

Jess Ramsay is an MFA student at Parsons New School for Design studying Video and Installation.
Primarily a video artist, "FUNhouse" marks the first exhibition in which Ramsay uses sound collage and
sculptural installation, focusing largely on memory and childhood experiences paired with darker
subjects including violence, death, and war. Her work aims to deconstruct these dualities.

Brewster Smith is a songwriter and photographer whose current work "Klowns as a Species" shows a
proposed darker side of the subject. Smith's "Klowns" series, suggests a species shunned by society
that may turn to alcoholism, drug abuse, and prostitution.
