> DESCRIPTION

Held at the height of seasonal change, The Last Supper’s fifth annual festival is a celebratory feast for the senses and a multi-arts symposium exploring the theme of “Means.” The indoor-outdoor event features 13 short films from emerging directors, 13 artworks from budding visual artists, 13 dishes from innovative food artists and live music from seven talented bands and DJ’s. This year’s participants include: Eve + Bowie of the Wassaic Project, who will create an “edible ghetto.” Tracy Candido of Sweet Tooth of the Tiger, who will be running a tin can cake workshop. Anna Apparu, the chef behind The 18th restaurant and Pop-up Supper, who will be serving a meal made from her own home-grown produce. Artwork includes solar-powered light box photographs by Scott Wolfson and a painting by international artist Tom Sanford. Musicians include Electro Latin Funk group Navegnate and the disco band Midnight Magic. Mary Jeys of the Brooklyn Torch currency project, who will be engaging attendees in an interactive, Monopoly-style activity. And documentarian Bambie Bogart’s “I [broken heart] NY” will be one of 13 short films shown.  More than 700 people attended last year's event, and this year promises to be bigger and even more delicious.
