> DESCRIPTION
Gerda Taro was the first female photographers to be killed in combat,
and quite probably the first woman photojournalist to work in the heat
of battle. As a partner of Robert Capa, she is often credited with
launching his career, and, side by side, they covered the first year of
the Spanish Civil War. ICP now holds the largest collection of her
work, and this exhibition will include many of the prints and magazine
layouts.
