The Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art
will host a gallery talk on Sunday, July 26th, 2009 from 4 to 6 pm
with renowned gallerist and curator Sean Kelly.Kelly will discuss the rewards
and challenges of working with artists who incorporate ephemeral materials and
performance.Kelly has, “established a reputation for his
commitment to artists whose work is ambitious, challenging, intellectual, and
unconventional.” He represents artists such
as: Marina Abramovic, Joseph Kosuth, Laurie Anderson, and Wolfgang Laib. Kelly’s presentation marks the end of the
HVCCA’s Origins exhibition.
