> DESCRIPTION

The Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art will host a gallery talk on Sunday, July 26th, 2009 from 4 to 6 pm with renowned gallerist and curator Sean Kelly.  Kelly will discuss the rewards and challenges of working with artists who incorporate ephemeral materials and performance. Kelly has, “established a reputation for his commitment to artists whose work is ambitious, challenging, intellectual, and unconventional.”   He represents artists such as: Marina Abramovic, Joseph Kosuth, Laurie Anderson, and Wolfgang Laib.  Kelly’s presentation marks the end of the HVCCA’s Origins exhibition. 

 

Wine and cheese reception will follow the presentation.

This event is free with museum admission and is open to the public.
