> DESCRIPTION
Sikkema Jenkins & Co. is pleased to announce the
exhibition Suddenly This Summer featuring a
weekly rotation of video works by twelve different
artists on view from June 30th through August 7th.
Two single channel video works by two different
artists will be on view each week. The works
featured, most of which have never been shown in
New York before, represent the wide variety of
contemporary video art production.
The works include live action street performance of
Shaun Gladwell’s Storm Sequence (2000), the
digital abstractions of a nature film in Escape Spirit
VideoSlime (2007) by Takeshi Murata, and the eerie
and melodramatic Sed de Infinito / Thirst for Infinity
(2005) by Manu Arregui which combines narration
with black and white still images and digital
animation
