Marvelli Gallery is pleased to present the group exhibition White Nights, featuring works by Bill Abdale, Becket Bowes, John Finneran, and Denise Kupferschmidt. The exhibition, on display from July 1 through August 8, includes new paintings and sculpture by these four emerging New York artists.
Bill Abdale had his first solo exhibition at Marvelli Gallery in January 2009. He is currently working towards a MFA at Hunter College, New York. He lives and works in New York, NY.
Becket Bowes received his MFA from Hunter College in 2006. Recently his work has been exhibited at Sculpture Center, Long Island City, NY, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and Rachel Uffner Gallery, NY. He lives and works in Long Island City, NY.
John Finneran received his MFA from Bard College in 2008. He lives and works in Long Island City, NY. His work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States and Europe including two solo shows at Rivington Arms, New York and a solo exhibition at Upstairs Berlin, Germany. He is also participating in the upcoming exhibition, Paint, at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
Denise received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and is now living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States and has had solo exhibitions in Chicago and Boston. She is co-organizer, of "Apartment Show", a series of roving group shows featuring young artists.
