Michel Frizot is a photography historian and art historian; senior
researcher at the CNRS and professor at the Ecole du Louvre (Paris);
author of numerous publications including A New History of Photography (Könemann, 1998), E. J. Marey Chronophotographe
(2000), Dieter Appelt (Photo Pocher series, 2005), and the essay
"Unpredictable Glances: Photography Lessons from a Scrapbook" ( from
Henri-Cartier Bresson's Scrapbook), among others.
