Night has many faces. She is associated with dreams and astronomy; she is a harbinger of fear and a beacon of spirituality. This event explores many interpretations of Night through music, dance, philosophy, and visual art. This is your last chance for serious art lovers to access these stunning works by up-and-coming artists. Come and enjoy new choreography by New York Dance Competition Gold Medalist Shoko Tamai will be featured alongside new musical works played by an ensemble of world-class musicians.
Interpreters of NIGHT have shown at the El Museo Del Barrio, State Museum of Pennsylvania, the Yale Rare Books Collection, and the Friedman Benda Gallery. Musicians have worked with artists including Mike Gordon, Dennis Leary, The Easy Star All-Stars, Contemporary Chamber Players, Burning Spear, and many more.
