The next generation of art stars will come from the great MFA programs located here in NYC. The ArtCycle Discovers Prize, is a new initiative that will add young and emerging artists to ArtCycle’s roster of first-rate talents. The finalists were selected from many gifted applicants from all the major MFA programs.

From an open call competition for MFA students in the fall of 2012, seven finalists were selected. The finalists will also receive a one-on-one critique with Barry Schwabsky, art critic for The Nation and co-editor of international reviews for Artforum at Gallery Brooklyn. Opening February 2, 2013.

$1,000 will be awarded to the winner of The ArtCycle Discovers Prize.
