Alchemy is traditionally defined as the conversion of base metals into gold. Transforming emotions, physicality, and magic can change ones’ state of awareness into other states of consciousness. The artists explore past and present or life or death in their art. In some cases, they are reinventing language and the incorporation of symbols as a mode of communication through their artwork. Nineteen artists, using painting, photography, wood carving and collage, have interpreted and entertained these definitions in a broad & intriguing range.
Gallery Hours: Wednesday thru Saturday 1-4pm & by appointment
