BRIC Rotunda Gallery will hold open discussion of what a curator is looking for when making studio visits and considering artists for an essay or an exhibition. This conversation will serve as a platform of necessary information to benefit anyone looking to further engage with and understand the art world. The panel consists of two Jackie Battenfield, artist and author of the upcoming book The Artist's Guide: How to Make a Living Doing What You Love, and Sara Reisman, curator and public art specialist. Curators Baseera Khan and Johanna Taylor will moderate.

This discussion is held in conjunction with BRIC Rotunda Gallery's concurrent exhibition A Wrinkle in Time: Artists From the Registry on view from September 10 through October 18. A Wrinkle in Time is the inaugural annual thematic exhibition curated from BRIC Rotunda's Artist Registry as a means of recognizing promising artists and of presenting a fresh look at emerging trends in the visual arts. The Artist Registry is open to any visual artist who lives, works, or was born in Brooklyn.
