European based curator Peter Weiermair, a specialist in the field of the male nude with knowledge of gay artists working in Italy, has selected work by eleven artists who live or work in Italy. The artists are from different generations, many internationally recognized in their professional careers, with work ranging from documentary to conceptual. DIARIES: An Anthology of Photography from Italy will feature over 60 photographs and one video.

According to Weiermair, “the unifying theme of the work is the male nude, its beauty, Eros and sexuality.” While each of the artists selected are known in their artistic professions, their intimate photo-diary work has seldom been exhibited. These photos offer the rare opportunity to see images through an artist’s eye, created in the most part for their own personal satisfaction.  For full exhibition details:
