Space Program participant Beverly McIver will present new work
in the Project Space. McIver is known for her paintings which
explore racial, gender, social, and occupational identities. Her
work is held in museum collections nationwide, including the
North Carolina Museum of Art, the Asheville Museum of Art, and
the Weatherspoon Art Museum. Recent grants and awards
include Anonymous Was A Woman, the John Simon
Guggenheim Fellowship, the Radcliffe Fellowship from Harvard
University, and Creative Capital. Her solo exhibition Face to
Face: Beverly McIver was on view at the Boulder Museum of
Contemporary Art in 2010
