ABC NO RIO

The Big She Bang is an all-day event of workshops, panel discussions, visual art, and music by and for womyn and womyn identified artists & community members. The Big She Bang was created in response to the desire for womyn to claim space in their creative communities. The Big She Bang strives to cultivate a space for womyn to share creative endeavors, exchange ideas, and provide support in a safe and open-minded environment. It is a multimedia event that serves as a platform for womyn artists and activists.

In our third year, in the spirit of Jodi Tilton, we wish to address the ways in which our communities support each other in our everyday lives. Jodi Tilton was an integral organizer of The Big She Bang who passed away in July 2007. Specifically, this year, we will address the ways in which our community responds to illness.
