The Grady Alexis Gallery at El Taller Latino Americano is pleased to announce City Slices, an exhibition by artist Beatrice Coron. The exhibition features silhouette papercuts and prints inspired by the dynamics of city life.

With the use of paper and exacto knife, Coron creates intricate images that explore human interactions within the urban environment. Ranging from playful to philosophical,
her silhouettes are technically reminiscent of traditional paper cutting, yet contemporary in style.

Papercuts are hand cut in paper, prints are printed on an etching press. One of the featured works, titled “EgoCentriCity”, represents the city from an individual’spoint of view. Radiating from the person's mind, the city is constructed as a spider web and can also be viewed as a mandala. Windows let the viewer peak inside a mental space.

Ms Coron is a French-born, New York based artist. Her work has been exhibited internationally. Public Collections include: The Getty Museum, The Walker Art Center, The Metropolitan Museum, The National Gallery of Art, and the Bibliothèque Nationalede France among others.
