Artists throughout the world have been captivated by the resilience and beauty of trees. By documenting the uniqueness of trees in environments that are either hostile or nourishing, artists join scientists, environmentalists and others in frequenting forests, national and local parks, and botanical gardens. They appreciate that even the trees in our own backyards reveal hidden gifts as they grow with whatever confronts or aligns with them.
