Practical Photoshop and Computer Use

Tuesday – Thursday, 6:30 pm - 9:30pm

Enrollment limited to 10 students
This workshop will focus on the practical use of a computer: creating folders, navigating through files, creating a library of documents, finding your files, etc. Students will learn how to download images from the camera to the computer, and how to use Photoshop to save artwork and resize and email an image.

- Pixels and resolution: what is it and how do you use it?
- Color correction
- Editing and transforming an image
Computer requirements: Students must bring their own laptops (Mac or PC) with Photoshop software installed (there is a free 30 day trial version).
Sylvie Covey is currently an instructor at the Art Students League, FIT, and the Art Center of Northern New Jersey. She studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and received a BA from Empire State College and an MFA from Hunter College.
