Dino Eli Gallery is pleased to present, “The Hunter, the Wanderer, the Trash Collector and the Street Master: Artists on the Prowl,” A four person group show Featuring David Tamargo as The Hunter, Gregory de la Haba as The Wanderer, Adler A.F. as The Trash Collector and IAM TMNK, aka NOBODY, as The Street Master, in a not to be missed show that turns the ordinary into the extraordinary, primordial instincts into poetic film, rubbish into performance, and street signs into clairvoyant totems.
The four artists are forever on the prowl—separately, of course, because all great artists work alone—in a search and   collection effort for useable and useful art goods. They step outside their studios and take a predatory approach to art making, their philosophy: to scour, capture or to hunt for things like street signs or 'words on the streets', for large animals and small ones, to lasso or trap, for soft whispers from beautiful muses from far away lands, the beckoning of a lighthouse or a trash can, exotic locales and location shoots right in their own backyards.
Take Adler A.F. for instance: She has her own museum in Berlin, dedicated to 'trash art', her coinage. In fact, she is properly known as the Trash Queen, originally from Munich she lives by the motto: "In Art We Trust". Her idea of a joyful day is boating on that polluted wreck of a waterway in NYC, taking water and mud samples from the murky bottom  and creating an opera of sorts around it all. She'll dive in and loot a dumpster immediately before her in-demand performances at Art Basel, whether in Switzerland or Miami!
And Mr. Tamargo, who gives new meaning to 'shooting photographs', leaves his studio for his 'urban hunting expeditions, usually after midnight so as to allude police and animal rights activists, creating photos that are unique and which this sick mind finds hilarious. He'll ambush his prey and 'shoot' it like no other hunter.
Mr. de la Haba, who has created a body of works which center around an alter ego self, part myth, part truth, a man who fell to earth, a man who's on a never ending quest of enlightenment, The Wanderer forever in search of home.

And lastly we have NOBODY. A man who carries, metaphorically, a big stick labeled "Art Is My Weapon". The man is pure and walks all streets at all times of day like a messiah on a mission, on the look-out to enlighten anyone with his gift of street art.

These artists all speak their own language, live in their own worlds yet invite us to 'tag' along, to experience the hunt without firing a gun, to smell the trash without vomiting , to read the writing on the wall without repercussion and to see magic where you normally wouldn't perceive any at all. Prowl along and capture this special show proffered by these four individuals.
