This theme-less art exhibit consists of all new works by five local creators in the field of visual arts. The brand new work incorporates elements of mixed media, drawing and painting and will feature creations in the cartooning, illustration and fine arts genres. The show's five participants are graduates of the School of Visual Arts, still exploring new realms for their art and stretching their craft over the years after their formal studies.
The opening reception will also feature live readings of prose and poetry by authors and musical performances of original music and songs from songwriters and performers.
Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend. The event will begin at 8PM and end at midnight.
The reception will be held at a gallery in Brooklyn, Launchpad, 721 Franklin Avenue right off the 2,3,4,5 Franklin Ave. subway stops. The show will remain up until the end of May thereafter.
