CraftNEWYORK, a show and sale for the benefit of CERF+ (Craft Emergency Relief Fund + Artists' Emergency Resources), will take place April 1, 2, 3, 2011, at 7W New York, on 34th Street and Fifth Avenue, across from the Empire State Building.
The inaugural exhibit and sale is expected to draw an international audience. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet 120 of the most celebrated studio designer craft artists working in the United States today.
The show will include one-of-a-kind and limited edition work that exemplifies the highest quality, technical merit, and originality in American craft today, in basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, or wood.
CraftNEWYORK is produced by Artrider Productions, the nationally acclaimed organizers who have produced arts events of the highest caliber for not-for profit organizations since 1982. This premier exhibition and sale reflects Artrider’s longstanding commitment to the American craft community and to CERF+.
