Stephen Cimini will be exhibiting his new work at two New York
City Galleries this winter. Continuing to draw from the architectural
origins of his past work and his obsession with color, these new
paintings also focus on the shape and scale of the canvases. They
range from seven inch squares, to the tall, slender 7 foot high ask
the giraffe piece (featured at right) to a luscious, green nine-foot-long
At Noho Gallery Chelsea, placement and interaction in the
environment will also be explored. The artist will be on hand at the
gallery during the first week of the exhibition experimenting with the
different ways the pieces can relate to each other. He will also be
available off hours by appointment.
For the exhibit at MH Art & Framing entitled Chromatogenous
Conversations, Cimini wallows in his obsession for color. This
exhibit will also feature the works of James Emory Bridges and
Michael Tice.
Cimini is a recent recipient of the Pollock-Krasner grant awarded to
artists with established abilities. His work is held in various corporate
and private collections worldwide.
