BLACK AND WHITE/ The Misfits
@ ABC NO RIO Gallery
FRIDAY OCTOBER 29TH
A 5 HOUR PERFORMANCE / INSTALLATION HAPPENING

...8PM-1AM We are all Misfits. The Misfits changed music history, the progenitors of the horror punk subgenera, blending multiple musical influences with horror film themes and imagery. Before they broke up they changed music as we hear it now. This is a tribute to them.
A battle, a cry, action and projection, the dead in the living, slow breathing body parts with a limited palate, a full black and white feast. 6 human beings will be plunged into the world of Misfits. A strange and uncontrollable world designed to change. A child will keep this place in order, death will bring life. Come watch a world be built and destroyed in 5 hours, see 6 humans transformed into 4d, 3d and 2d. Each cast member has a planed out action, whatch it morph. Breathe in the energy, spit it back.
Come make art, write, listen, be a part, art for all. Abc Norio is a historical NY spot, this time next year the gritty gallery will be a new space. Be a part of history.
A limited engagement project; Alan animates his drawings by transforming spaces and performers. Using an assortment of material, including prints, casts, paint, and found objects, he builds living sculptures that perform beautiful and treacherous acts. The concept and theme of the show changes with every new performance, but the project is a act of metamorphosis for an audience of all.

Cast and crew: Garry Boake, Theresa Magario ™, Steve Perez, Dave Modelo, Julie Turner, Gregory Frumin, Joe Rugillio, Nora McKelvey and Raquel Mavecq
