> DESCRIPTION

These works draw on the creative roots that connect these artists to the motherland and the Black church experience. The featured artists including photographers, writers, visual artists, floral arrangers, in “Art Jam!...” extends recognition long overdue to artists from north and south, east to west whose innate creativity covers everything from prose to floral design.

The opening reception is on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 6 to 9pm. The exhibition is also an introduction for an upcoming book featuring these artists.
