Ocean Roll
by Georgia Fee

For the final stop at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, be sure to wander down to the very basement for the rest of their recent acquisitions. There you will find a couple of photographs by Mahomed Bouroussa, well worth investigating, as well as a lush video installation by Marion Tampon-Lajarriette. Born in Paris in 1982, Tampon-Lajariette currently lives between Geneva and Paris.

Enclosed in a small salon, Tampon-Lajarriette's installation, entitled Camera 1, Plan 8, combines visuals of a silky oceanic roll with the soundtrack from Hitchcock's film, Rope. It is mesmerizing.
