Located in a Midtown Manhattan church, this small exhibition presents the paintings and drawings of five Iraqi refugees: Wassan Al Kabi, Rawaa Tareg Al-Na’aiemy, Aktham A. Al-Sayegh, Amal Alwan Maseer, and Thar A. Al-Sayegh.  Freedom and Beauty is part of the outreach program Openings, which fosters dialogue amongst artists on the connections between spirituality and creativity. All the works on view are available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the refugees in their effort to establish themselves in their new communities.
