I'm looking forward to attending a four-day course in basic playwriting at the Negros Museum!
On Monday, I received an e-mail from the workshop coordinator, Ms. Tanya Lopez, prepping us for advance readings of several plays, and for late night intensive sessions (wow!).
She's glad that I have signed up for the Pandayan Workshop (pandayan literally means workshop) so that it will serve as a good cross-training for my visual art. I'm also currently teaching basic sketching and oil pastels to a total of 12 kids this summer (summer months here are from March to May)!
Up on my busy art list is a little birthday party I am organizing for my soon-to-be 12-year-old daughter. Instead of the usual, we thought of holding her first solo art exhibit, to open on the day of her birthday, May 20! Ms. Tanya liked the idea so much that she has booked a portion of the museum lobby for the one-month show.
And today I got an email welcoming me to the Artslant Keeper Team! Yes! I can't wait to post my daughter's upcoming exhibit on the website!
I wonder what would be my first assignment as Joan of Art the Keeper...?
