Steven W Miller (lives in New York)
Steven Miller received his training based on the principals of the 19th century French Academy, including the study of Old Masters, landscapes, figure painting and the direct observation of nature. He paints in a series of paintings, usually working on three to four paintings at a time. The work he produces is all about color, form and things that appear to be simple on the surface having a much larger and much more complex reality.
Steven has exhibited on national and international level including New York, Los Angeles, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Rome, Berlin and Cologne. Miller’s work has been exhibited in Milan in conjunction with women’s Fashion Week in a “Sensorium”.
Steven Miller’s work is in numerous private and public collections including the Bayly Art Museum, the Savannah College of Art & Design Museum, Chase Manhattan Bank, Walden International, Hong Kong, and was recently added to MOMA’s collection. Miller’s work has been published in conjunction with the Japanese Museum of Contemporary Poetry in Tokyo.
Steven Miller lives and maintains a studio both in New York City and in the rolling hills of Litchfield County Connecticut.
