Call for Artists "Island of Art" Juried Exhibition

“Island of Art” Juried Exhibition
Loretto Memorial Library Gallery; St. John’s University, Staten Island, NY
Exhibition Dates: March 23-May 11, 2013
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 23, 2013 2-5pm

Only Staten Island Artists may apply. No theme restrictions. If selected, a $25 Hanging
Fee which covers Postcards and the Opening Reception. Selected artists will receive
postcards to distribute. Two dimensional works, any medium. Maximum size 24” x 36”.

Exhibition Curators: Faculty of St. John’s College Fine Arts Department: Prof. Connie
J. Frisch-Cherniak, Prof. Linda Butti and the Head of Loretta Memorial Library: Dr.
Mark Meng.

Submission Guidelines: Please submit a CD with up to 4 images of your works. Each image
should be saved as a numbered jpg. Each jpg should be under 300dpi labeled as last name,
first initial and work number if submitting more than one as well as the size of work and
medium. For example, Vang.M.1 ; Oil on Canvas, 16” x 20”, Vang.M.2 Digital Photograph,
20” x 24”; Vang.M.3 Graphite on Paper, 8” x 10” and so on. Please include a printed
Resume with your work. Please include a SASE if you wish your CD to be returned.

CD and Resume should be submitted to arrive no later than February 16, 2013 to:

Exhibition Timeline:
February 16th—Deadline for Submissions.
February 28th-- Artists will be notified of their acceptance.
March 7-9th—All work must be hand delivered WIRED and ready for hanging during
Library hours.
March 23--Exhibition Opens-- Opening Reception 2-5pm
May 11 Exhibition Closes—May 11
May 12-14 Pickup works during Library Hours
