PopRally Presents "The Clock" -- Silent Disco (20 Dec. 2012)

(Excerpt from 'The Clock—Silent Disco' posted on MoMA. Found on http://www.moma.org/poprally/upcoming)

PopRally is a program of events at The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 that features collaborations with artists and musical acts, performances, film screenings, receptions, and special viewings of exhibitions at moderate prices.

Join us as "The Clock" strikes midnight with a "silent disco" dance party, featuring a DJ lineup organized by John Stanier of Battles.

In honor of the opening of Christian Marclay's hypnotically addictive 24-hour video installation The Clock, guests can hit the dance floor wearing wireless headsets through which they can choose between two separate channels programmed by the DJs. Though the room remains silent, guests have a dance party between their ears. Along with DJ John Stanier, the event features sets by That Kid Prolific and Operator EMZ.
