Balthazar Restaurant & Bakery
80 Spring Street
New York, NY 10012

Bathazar serves traditional French bistro fare all day and well into the night. Opened in the spring of 1997, Keith McNally’s concept is so good that Balthazar is always busy – ridiculously busy. It seems like everyone who wants a taste of Paris on this side of the Atlantic knows they can find the best of it here, which makes the wait long and the tables dangerously close together. Once inside though, nearly anything you try will make up for those little inconveniences. Try the coffee, signature salads, omelets, crepes, raw seafood, or warm chocolate cakes…take your pick! If you can’t bear the wait or close quarters in the restaurant, visit the bakery next door for oven fresh bread, soup and salad, or buttery croissants “to go.” If you stay or go – whatever you choose – just be sure to indulge! You’ll find Balthazar is worth it.
