The Fall art season kicked off this week with no less than a million (or so it seems) openings. Every neighborhood teems with the old and new, from Chelsea to downtown. New faces in the Lower East Side include previous Chelsea resident DCKT Contemporary on Bowery, as well as Sarasota transplant Greene Contemporary (pictured), whose elegant-quirky cube can be entered from above and below on Clinton Street, right across from the beloved Clinton Street Bakery. Greene's first show is Nathan Skiles, which opened last night. We also look forward tonight to shows from Christian Marclay at Paula Cooper and Kevin Cooley at Massimo Audiello, as well as Jennifer Coates at Kinz, Tillou + Feigen on Tuesday.
The art is up, the critics and enthusiasts are out, the results are to be tallied.... Stay tuned.
