I had the high expectations when I went to this opening. The press release intriguing as this exhibition brings together two interesting artists, one established and one emerging. I knew of Hillman's work, so it was Lia Chavez's work that caught my curiosity.
I got to speak with her at length to understand the collaboration more thoroughly. Her ability to describe the ethos of the work as bodies in motion, bodies under tension, physical and psychologically was absolutely spot on. I found the content... [more]
