Well this is my first blog on this site so I figured I'd put some nifty info in here before I get way into blogging again and ramble. I noticed while putting up my artwork there wasn't a field for the descriptions of my work so I figured for those interested, that I'll make a blog listing some of the materials I used, hours spent and overall the general message of the peice. That way you all get a little taste of whats cookin' in my noodle for those who are interested. So, here we go.
From newest to oldest.
"The Funniest Man Alive"
This was another peice I had abandoned a long time ago but I came across it again about a year later and decided to re-work a bit. After I had the drawing done and began coloring, I started coming up with a back story for the clown who I now call "Vincenzo". He used to be a local sensation until the children he was performing for, became bored of him. Vincenzo becomes depressed and realizes that to make everyone love him and laugh with him again, he has to commit suicide. Which he thinks is the funniest thing he can do in his life. I guess this story stems from the joy I get when people tell me how much they dig my art and how it's scary to think that some people believe you might not be good enough or that you can't hack it in the real world. Anyway, I hope everyone likes it and I would love to hear what everyone has to say about it.

"Dialogue of Particles"
This illustration took several months to finally get it right. I mulled over the details for quite a while until I loved every part of the picture. So a lot of time was spent on planning instead of actually drawing and coloring, which is not really my strong suite. There is a fair amount that was done at random. I think thats what gives this peice that little extra spark. My good friend John modeled for the illustration so give him a round of applause for being such a good sport. Also, you might notice the change of style. It's something I've been working on and dig very much. So I hope you all enjoy it at much as I do.

"An Eerie Glow From Burnt Bulbs"
Another mixed media painting that I've been working on for a while now. I did this in a different way than most of my other pieces. Usually I have an idea in my head when I start a project and then I expand on it while I work on it but with this one it was just twists and turns all the way through. So to tell you the truth, I have no idea what it means or represents. It's pretty awesome that way. Because everyday it'll have a new meaning. If you have any ideas on what it means, toss them my way.
"Girl Jeans"
The second installment of my "I've Seen The Scene" series. It's a social comment on the fashion choices of todays youth.
"What Happened To Creativity?"
From a doodle to a master-piece. Well a master-piece in my eyes. I'm very proud of this piece. It's one of my absolute favroties. But really, what happened to it?
"Digital Dali"
I wanted to portray the great Dali in an odd and unusual way, which is right up his alley. I had the idea of portraying a fine artist with some sort of digital medium, seeing as everyday digital art is taking over more and more. So I wanted to represent him as being consumed by the digital age.
"Haunted Holiday"
Even ghosts like Christmas.
"Version One Thirty AM"
I'm very happy with the way this turned out. I had this drawing finished for a while now and I decided to start coloring it while I was working on a bigger project. When I start working on new things while I'm doing a big project, it really helps me focus. That way I can get any random ideas out and toss them into a new drawing. Anyway, I hope you all like it.
"Epidemic"
This is the first installment of my "I've Seen The Scene" series. This one focuses on more of the similar hair styles that crosses the gender boundaries.
"Welcomes To Wellsville"
This piece is the first of a new series I'm working on called "The Orange Couch". It's series that is a tribute to the great Nickelodeon shows of yesteryear. But please, comment away. I would like to know everyone's thoughts on this.
"Daydream Johnny"
Just a tribute to a great actor and a great movie. He is the Zissou!
"The Green"
This is just a peice of work done in Corel Painter and then polished in photoshop
"Life: A Fairy Tale"
My cousin Jessica model for this picture. It's based on a story I have written about children growing up too fast and forgetting about the precious years.
"Leet Engineer"
Another portrait. Trying something new.
"Cockpit-Inferno"
A portrait of a good friend of mine and fellow artist Ish
"Bombshell"
This was another doodle I turned into a big project. I have this small fascination with the 1950's so I wanted to draw something that kind of resembled that era, and this is what came out of that desire.
Hope you guys enjoyed the descriptions. I have a new peice coming soon, so keep your eyes out.
Later
