Lily talks about "Nirvana"

"Nirvana" is defined by Websters Dictionary as "paradise, heaven, illusion, fantasy, bliss" to name a few.  The story behind the title and manifestation of Nirvana is unique, as is every work of art that evolves while I am in the "zone", the place I go where no thought exists.  Perhaps the "zone" is the plane between Heaven and Earth.

If one could make this "zone" tangible, that would be part of the inspiration of this work ..to be painting forever under the tree in the time and space of "Nirvana" would be a blessing realized for this artist.

More inspiration for this work came from a very heartfelt viewing of the Bridging website...I was very moved by what I read and took that love I felt to my canvas.

What does your Nirvana feel and look like?  Could Nirvana be the vibration of the time and space between Heaven and Earth....and so the story will continue with all of you, for without your longing to find your Nirvana there is no story to tell.

I thank my daughter Stephanie for naming this painting....I believed it was my "Sanctuary" until she gasped when first viewing it...she informed me that what I had painted had only one name, and that would be Nirvana...this is how a story continues outside the artist's manifestation of love....I was sold, this title and vision came from pure love.  What else but love could exist within the confines of the space between Heaven and Earth.  So a path, a bridge, has been made tangible.

Love & Light

Fusionart International Group Exhibit, May 1-30, Gallery C, Hermosa Beach, CA

Fusionart:  Art of the 21st Century

In these challenging times, the vibrant and soul-inspired works
evolving from the group are a welcome vision of unity; a healing call to end
the isolation so many are feeling, says Rassouli, visionary artist,
scholar of ancient mystics and founder of Fusionart International.

In March 2008, Fusionart International had a group exhibition at the
Bergamot Art Center's James Gray Gallery in Santa Monica.

In May 2008, Gallery C in Hermosa Beach is featuring the work of
Fusionart International (FAI) as their closing exhibition of 25
Fusionartists, including Rassouli. The show will run from 1 May to 1 June 2008. Then Gallery C will close its doors permanently.

The show features the artwork of Fusionartists, a community of
California artists supporting the fusion of varied cultures and values through
the arts. They have been working under the guidance of renowned artist,
Rassouli, developing a concept of artistic expression that combines
the wonderful variation of creation itself with the inner world of the
artist.  The images flow on with the spontaneity of feelings that invite
the viewer to share the world and vision of the artist in perhaps a new
and very powerful way.

There is a palpable feeling of joy that bonds
the group and reveals the creative impact of Fusionart on those engaged
in its process and vision. Do experience this Gallery C exhibition of
Fusionart International, where spirit and consciousness engage in
elegant resplendence and aesthetic delight.

Gallery C is a beautiful, 6,000-square foot space, with soaring
ceilings located just steps away from sand and pier in the heart of Hermosa
Beach. It is the perfect venue to showcase the divine and this group!

An opening reception on May 3, from 5pm - 8pm will present the
artists and their paintings, which will be available for purchase during
gallery hours and by special appointment.

The reception will offer guests the chance to interact with the artists
and learn more about this dynamic Fusionart movement. Many of its
members have carried the longing to nurture and express unity through their
own creative natures, and through the community of Fusionart
International, have opened up to their inner artist as a messenger for peace and
love. Their energy and art reflect the joy of their inspirational
journeys.

Fusionart International will be hosting "Lunch with an Artist" brownbag events every weekday at 12 noon during the month of May at Gallery C in Hermosa Beach.   Local artists from Fusionart International will be on site to lead round-table discussion about art  and the creative process.
